Never in my life have I had an experience or a situation that I thought I couldn't win.  I could always find a way to beg, borrow, cheat, or steal my way out of deadly peril.

But by the end of Perception is Deception I realize that I may have finally come across a game that I can't beat.

After a career of searching for people - never much considering whether or not they wanted to be found - I end up being sought after myself.  

After decades of finding people in hiding, I was in hiding myself... and I can swear to only one thing about it. They say a coward dies a thousand deaths, while a brave man dies but one.  They got that right, my friends!  

I'm much more of a 'damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead' kind of guy.  Sitting there and praying that no one found me or my new family - or even my friends - was certainly the cowardly way to go.

Or so it seemed.
