I hope you enjoyed that!  Backman Turner Overdrive, more commonly known as BTO, has never been better represented!

I enjoy writing, I truly do.  It's something I wanted to do my whole life.  I worked a lot of years and did without a lot of things so I would have the resources to finally follow my dreams and be able to offer the books I have written to you.

One of the odd things I have about being a writer, though, is my inherent belief that I writer is pretty much worthless unless he has readers to hopefully enjoy his stuff.  It brings me to the other side of my writing life, the side where I have to find a means to present my writing to you, dear reader.

I offer my paperbacks when I do my shows, but I don't do many of them a year.  I vastly prefer to stay at my computer, typing away at my latest efforts.  But that leaves me with a problem defining a way to get my books to you.

I do this through Amazon.com.  They make what i do possible.  Without them and their various services, I would not be able to offer my books to you in a cost effective and competitive way.  Look, I am totally down with the idea of things needing to be affordable.  Why should you buy my books if you could get other books cheaper?

So I make sure my offerings are competitive in the price department.  You can look at Amazon.com and see that my efforts are well within the prices you find for their other books, and often even less expensive.

I want readers, as many of them as I can possibly find.  I just feel that a writer is useless without you, the reader.

I really mean that, so when you hear me say thank you for reading my stuff, trust me - I truly mean, THANK YOU.  Please do try my books.  Frankly, the Royalties I earn from each sale really helps me be able to continue to do this.  I try very hard to give you a good bang for your buck in my writing.

There's nothing I like better than finding and pleasing a new reader, except maybe having a repeat reader enjoy the next book I put out.  Whether new to my work or old, I truly thank you all.  Every one of you helps me to do the thing I've wanted to do my entire life.

You help make dreams come true.

Thank you very much!

I always welcome any questions or comments you might have.  Please feel free to email me at FredGibsonJr@hotmail.com.  I personally read and respond to all emails I receive.

Also Amazon has a nifty ratings feature that lets you be the critic for the rest of the world.  I'd appreciate it if you emailed me before posting a bad rating, because maybe I can explain something or clear something up for you.

But please do leave ratings.  I think it's a fabulous way for readers to communicate with each other... and beleive me, we writers DO read your words too!
